Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
What is multiple sclerosis?
MS is a progressive disease of the central nervous system which causes scars to develop on the nerves within your body, leading to various symptoms such as pain, spasticity, fatigue, loss of coordination, reduced balance and spasms.
These symptoms can present in one of three pathways:
Relapsing-remitting
Secondary progressive
Primary progressive
It is estimated that more than 25,600 people are living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Australia.
