Physiotherapy for Stroke patients with Hemiparesis

Patients who have suffered a stroke may develop a hemiparesis (loss of strength on one side of the body) thereby limiting their activities of daily living and quality of life. At Physio Express our physiotherapists will utilise task specific training to improve your strength in your affected limb/s.

As seen in the image to the right our therapists are using a column scale to ensure that the client has equal weight distributed through her legs. This tool provides feedback to the client and the therapist.

Our physiotherapists also utilise other feedback equipment such as EMG (electromyography) biofeedback units. EMG biofeedback is used for measuring muscle response to see how well your muscles are working during an action or task.

Please feel free to contact us for an appointment or more information about our home rehabilitation services.
