The ‘U-Step Neuro Walking Stabilizer’ is a walker designed in the United States specifically for people with neurological conditions. It aims to increase independence and eliminate falls. The U-shaped walker has a solid welded base, making it ultra stable and surrounds you to prevent falls. As the majority of the weight is at the base, it provides a low center of gravity for greater stability. The two options offered are the standard U-step and the platform U-step, which has arm platforms in place of standard handle bars.
Features:
Reverse Braking System: The brakes are always ON for this walker unless you lightly squeeze either hand brake. Making sure that if your hands are off the walker, it will stop immediately. This feature is especially helpful for standing up from a chair.
Rolling Resistance control: You can adjust the rolling speed of this walker to set desired amount of resistance for the person using it.
Spring-loaded front wheel: Helps to shock absorb when going on uneven surfaces, and removes the need to lift the walker over small obstacles.
Laser & sound cueing modules (additional): particularly useful feature for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, but can be used for anyone with an irregular walking pattern. This cueing can help normalize walking and increase your strides.
Folds up for ease of transport into the shape and size of a standard foldaway chair.
